CJ Sadler appears to have something on his mind.
Based on his latest social media post, the freshman wide receiver seems to want people to know how he's feeling.
After the Tar Heels' 38-35 loss to No. 1 Miami on Saturday night, Sadler posted an Instagram story photo of himself standing on the field alongside a Miami Hurricanes player.

The message above the photo?
"FREE COS ⛓️💥 → SOON"
Okay then.
CJ Sadler's cryptic message comes at an interesting time
Let's make something very clear before going any further:
Sadler did not say he's transferring or announce that he's leaving North Carolina.
He didn't directly criticize Bill Belichick, the coaching staff, or anyone associated with the UNC football program.
Trying to definitively interpret an Instagram story would be irresponsible.
However, given everything that's happened over the last few weeks, it's hard to ignore the timing.
Sadler has now gone two straight games without an offensive snap, and his disappearance from the offense follows an off-field situation that temporarily sidelined the talented freshman.
Belichick previously confirmed that Sadler was being held out because of an off-field matter. Sadler eventually returned to practice, and Belichick indicated that the situation had been addressed and that the freshman was working his way back into the mix.
However, his offensive role hasn't returned with him.
Sadler was available against Syracuse, but was limited to special teams as fellow freshman Nyqir "Boomer" Helton took over a significant role in UNC's offense.
The Tar Heels stuck with that decision against Miami, once again leaving Sadler out of the offensive equation.
That's a significant change from where things stood earlier this season.
Sadler started four games for the Tar Heels and seemed to be emerging as one of their more intriguing young offensive weapons. He caught three passes for 66 yards against ETSU and later played a season-high 51 offensive snaps against Notre Dame. He followed that with 29 snaps against Pitt and 43 more against Duke.
Then came the off-the-field issue.
Since returning, Sadler's role on offense has basically evaporated, as Helton's emergence has played a major role in that.
The Tar Heels haven't been shy about publicly expressing excitement about Sadler's future. He is a talented young wide receiver who showed early flashes of what he can do. Unfortunately, his off-the-field issue opened up an opportunity for another player to emerge, as he is now in a position where he's battling once again for meaningful playing time.
His latest social media post adds another layer to an already interesting situation.
Maybe it's simply a frustrated freshman who desperately wants to get back on the field. Honestly, who could blame him for wanting to play?
In today's college football landscape, any cryptic social media post from a talented young player whose role has suddenly diminished will naturally draw attention.
Especially when the message includes the words "FREE COS" and "SOON."
For now, that's all we have: one very interesting Instagram story from a talented freshman whose season has taken quite the turn over the last few weeks.
However, this certainly feels like something worth keeping an eye on over the next few weeks.
