If you weren't already excited for North Carolina's transfer portal addition of Matt Able, Isaac Trotter is here to tell you why you should be pumped for it.

Trotter just made UNC landing Matt Able even better for Michael Malone

Trotter, a National College Basketball writer for 247Sports, has recently analyzed the latest transfer moves, talking in-depth about some of the best moves that have occurred this offseason.

One of those notable moves was Able's decision to transfer to North Carolina. Trotter absolutely loves the pairing between Able and UNC, believing that he's ready to take a huge step in his overall development.

Whew, this is the one. There is a real world where Able is UNC's best guard next season. Better than Neoklis Avdalas and better than Terrence Brown. The 6-foot-6, 205-pound soon-to-be sophomore has real-deal positional size, and he has so much more game than he showed last year at NC State. Able can play on or off the ball, and he has a strap from downtown, a comfortable pull-up game and a bunch of different finishes in his bag to navigate shot-blockers at the rim. Able flashed some nastiness to put his face in the fan on the glass, and the secondary playmaking glimpses are intriguing.

Able is one more offseason away from putting it all together as a do-it-all guard who can fit into any lineup and wear a bunch of different hats. Able can outplay his contract in a major way for Michael Malone.

Grade: A — Trotter

Trotter gave the transfer move an "A" grade, showing just how much he thinks it will benefit both Able and the Tar Heels. He even goes on make a bold statement that Able could very well be UNC's best guard next season, even better than other highly-regarded transfer additions like Neoklis Avdalas and Terrence Brown.

Michael Malone and the Tar Heels are thrilled to have Able in the mix, and now will aim to unlock his full potential during his sophomore season as part of this new-look UNC basketball squad.
