Fans of the UNC basketball program will definitely want to tune in to the NBA All Star Weekend festivities this year.
While it was previously announced that Armando Bacot will play in the NBA G-League Next Up Game, the NBA announced its participants for this year's 3-point contest.
One of this year's competitors is none other than former Tar Heel Cam Johnson.

Johnson is in the midst of a career year, averaging 19.3 points-per-game. A career 39.6% shooter from beyond the arc, Johnson has knocked down 41.7% of his attempts from three-point range this season, as his scoring ability is why he generated so much interest as a potential trade candidate before the NBA Trade Deadline passed on Thursday.
Now, not only will Johnson finish the season with the Brooklyn Nets, he'll represent the organization in this annual event.
The field features some of the sport's best shooters, including back-to-back champion Damian Lillard. Johnson will look to end Lillard's streak this year, avoiding the first-ever three-peat champion in the three point shootout.

Tar Heel fans have plenty of fond memories of Cam Johnson's career with the UNC basketball program, as he was one of the best transfers that the program ever hauled in. He knocked down plenty of big-time shots during his time in Chapel Hill, as he hasn't lost that ability one bit as he's now in his seventh season in the NBA.
Not going to lie: it would be awesome to see Cam Johnson become the first Tar Heel to ever win this competition.
