Has everyone caught their breath yet? On Saturday, UNC basketball took down Ohio State in a complete and total thriller. It looked like maybe the Buckeyes were going to pull off an upset win against the Tar Heels, but Caleb Wilson, Henri Veesaar and others weren't going to let that happen.
UNC survives against Ohio State in the CBS Sports Classic
On the final play for Ohio State, the Buckeyes had a good look to steal the victory, but Wilson was in the right spot to come up with the game-saving block. That came shortly after Veesaar delivered with his game-winning dunk.
Immediately after the final whistle, a group of North Carolina players gathered for a postgame interview and it was fantastic. When asked about what this kind of a win does for the Heels moving forward, Wilson didn't hold back at all with his response:

Caleb Wilson knows UNC basktball has a ton of potential moving forward
"I mean, it just shows that we're here you know what I'm saying," Wilson said. "It's a great team that we played against and I feel like we're on the way. We're on the way for sure."
You've got to love that from Wilson. The Tar Heels were punched in the mouth a couple of times, but they didn't panic. Instead, it was the team in blue that was able to make the needed plays late with things on the line. UNC showed a lot of toughness here.
As for Wilson, he continues to play at an elite level. The 5-star freshman finished with a game-high 20 points and 15 rebounds. This kid just keeps living up to the hype and it has been incredible to see. With him being humble too, it makes him even more of a fan favorite.
Come Monday, the Tar Heels will take on East Carolina before ACC play gets underway on Dec. 30 against Florida State. While things were far from perfect on Saturday against Ohio State, North Carolina proved it can hang tough when adversity is thrown its way. With Wilson playing so well for this team too, it has people having so much fun following this team. Per Wilson, even more great memories will be on the way for this group.
