The UNC basketball program's performance as a whole on Tuesday night wasn't its best by any means.

In fact, the term "sluggish" would fit well, especially in the first half.

Shooting just over 32% from the floor over the first 20 minutes of action, North Carolina was fortunate to hold a seven-point lead heading into the break.

In need of a spark, who else but Caleb Wilson would provide it.

Wilson's second-half surge helped guide the Tar Heels to an 11-point victory over Navy on Tuesday night in Chapel Hill. The five-star freshman had a stretch of game time in which he dunked three times in the span of 1:19 on the game clock.

Yes, you read that right. In less than 90 seconds, Wilson threw three impressive dunks down, firing up the crowd and his team.

After having just six points and four rebounds through the first half, Wilson came alive in the second half of play. He scored 17 second-half points and added 8 rebounds to finish the night with a game-high 23 points, 12 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 blocks over 27 minutes of action. It marks the third consecutive game that Wilson has recorded a double-double effort.

Three other Tar Heels scored in double-figures, including Luka Bogavac, who scored 16 points on the night. The junior guard's impact in the first half was extremely valuable, as his double-digit scoring effort in the first half led the struggling offensive attack.

This was a game many expected the UNC basketball program to win easily, but give Navy credit for playing extremely tough. Sure, North Carolina didn't provide its best effort, especially with regard to shooting the basketball from deep, but it serves as yet another good test for the Tar Heels as they now head on the road for the first time this season.

Sitting at 5-0, the UNC basketball program gets a week off before squaring off with St. Bonaventure in the Fort Myers Tip-Off, a two game event in which the Tar Heels will also battle against Michigan State on Thanksgiving day.
