The Field of 68 does a horrible job of hiding their hatred toward the UNC basketball program.
Their latest mockery comes from their preseason top 10 freshman that the ACC has to offer. On a list where five-star freshman Caleb Wilson should be near the top, you have to go halfway down the list to find his name.
Yes, they actually ranked Wilson as the No. 5-best freshman in the ACC leading up to the 2025-2026 season...

Before we get into Wilson's placement on the list, let's get one thing straight: we're not here advocating that he belongs in the top spot. In fact, it was expected that Cameron Boozer would take the top spot (and rightfully so), while Wilson and Brown Jr. filled in the slots below him.
However, The Field of 68 ranked Neoklis Avdalas and Thijs De Ridder (who, by the way is 22-years-old), ahead of him.
At this point, it's simply laughable.
While they are considered "freshman," and we use that term lightly, neither technically fits the bill of being an actual freshman. It's comical how The Field of 68 crew will do anything to diminish anything positive about the UNC basketball program.
Don't worry- Wilson is well-aware of the rankings. In fact, he posted on X, thanking them for the bulletin board material.
Even though he deleted the post (he likely realized that they aren't worth his time), you best believe that he's using it as motivation to prove all the doubters wrong as he begins his highly-anticipated college basketball career.
If Wilson has the type of season we all expected him too, this above post will surely re-surface on social media!
