The most recent UNC basketball commit has earned a spot on the roster for this year's McDonald's All-American game, arguably the highest honor that a high school senior could achieve. Wilson is more than deserving of the nod, as he'll be the lone representive for the UNC basketball program in this year's contest.
After being played in Houston over the last few years, the McDonald's All-American Game will be in a new location for the 2025 contest. This year, the game will take place in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn and is scheduled to take place on April 1.
Here's what 247Sports had to say about Wilson's selection for this year's game:
"Wilson just recently moved out of the undecided column when he committed to the Heels last week on TNT's Inside the NBA. Still a bit on the lean side, Wilson is among the most fluid movers in the class. He runs the floor with grace, moves laterally with ease and is among the truly elite defensive players in the class. Offensively he's got some game off the dribble and emerging skill facing the rim."
Wilson's commitment to North Carolina sent major waves through Chapel Hill, as the five-star forward is a prospect that Tar Heel fans have been desperately clamoring for. Now, Tar Heel fans will have an early chance to watch Wilson in action as he competes alongside some of the top players in the Class of 2025 as part of this year's McDonald's All-American Game.
