Caleb Wilson deserves it all. Take away the season-ending injury he suffered and things could not have gone much better for him during his historic freshman season with the Tar Heels. He won over countless fans and moving forward, we're all hoping this kid keeps having an enormous amount of success. With that said, could he end up in the hunt for a Finals ring earlier than expected?

UNC's ACC schedule release features a loaded home slate for Michael Malone's debut season

The majority of NBA Mock Drafts have him going off the board at No. 4 overall to the Chicago Bulls. Following in Michael Jordan's footsteps? Sure, let's see it happen. Out of nowhere, though, there have been talks of the Thunder trading up to target either Wilson or Cameron Boozer. Crazy to think about, but you know what, the UNC faithful should be all over this even if it feels like a long shot:

Caleb Wilson linked to the OKC Thunder is wild, but would be awesome to see

No way this happens... right? Let's pretend a draft night blockbuster arrives and Oklahoma City does get this done. It would flip the NBA upside down. The Thunder, the 2024-25 champs, are poised to repeat, though the Knicks and Spurs are hoping to have a say in things. Adding Wilson to the roster would only help increase the odds of winning it all again in 2026-27.

Can I be frank here, however? On one side, personally I'd have nightmares over this as a Seattle native. I'll never be able to root for the Thunder after Oklahoma City stole the Sonics away from my beloved hometown. Okay, I got that out of the way, thanks.

On the flip side, how could I not be happy for Wilson potentially joining a powerhouse squad, who would put him in a position to win multiple titles early on in his career? Should Wilson go No. 4 to Chicago, he'd join an organization in the middle of a difficult rebuild. Last season, the Bulls finished a lowly 31-51 on the year.

Sure, Wilson could help turn things around and get Chicago back to a high level of competition. The North Carolina faithful would have to be patient there, but the youngster making an immediate impact with the Bulls is something that would never be questioned - Wilson would be a stud for the Bulls from the moment his debut arrives.

Still, the thought of the Thunder working their magic and bringing him to OKC sure is a lot of fun to think about. Wilson made the tough call to leave Chapel Hill, but everyone understood that decision. As much as he loved the city and UNC community as a whole, you can't turn down the chance to go in the top five of the NBA Draft, especially since it's his dream to play in the pros.

Come June 23, we all won't have to wait long to find out where Wilson will be headed. Will Carolina fans be getting ready to purchase a Bulls jersey or a Thunder one? It's hard to say, but we also can't rule out a different kind of stunner arriving for UNC's stud playmaker. With how good he is, everyone should be jumping at the chance to draft him.
