For a guy who hasn't played in a competitive basketball game since February 10, Caleb Wilson didn't look rusty by any means!
Wilson, the No. 4 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, made his summer league debut on Friday night and absolutely stole the show. In fact, his performance was so incredible that he set a new NBA Summer League record in the process!
Just wait until you hear what the former Tar Heel did in his first professional basketball game.
Caleb Wilson puts together a record-breaking NBA Summer League debut
In 33 minutes of action, Wilson was simply unstoppable. He set the NBA Summer League record for the most points scored in a debut game, finishing the night with 35 points, five rebounds, three blocks and two steals.
Oh, and did we mention he drained seven, yes, seven, three pointers?!
Wilson wasted no time getting into the action, knocking down a three-pointer for his first NBA Summer League points a few minutes into the game. He scored the first five points for the Bulls, as he was essentially the only player producing offensively early in the game.

As the game went on, Wilson continued to do what he does best. He silenced the critics who claimed he couldn't shoot the basketball by going on a run in which he knocked down three-pointers on three consecutive possessions.

While scoring the basketball was the focal point of his performance, Wilson continued to impact the game on both ends of the floor. In fact, Wilson channeled his inner LeBron James with this chase down block at the rim, an impressive play given how far behind the play he was.

The Memphis Grizzlies held the lead down the stretch, but Wilson wasn't going to let his team go down without a fight. He drained a three-pointer with eight seconds remaining to put his team down two, setting the Summer League record for points in a debut contest.
After Cameron Boozer made two free throws on the other end, Wilson brought the ball up the court and drained his seventh triple of the game, one that beat the buzzer but wasn't enough to tie the game.
If only this one could've counted for four points to tie the game and send it into overtime!
