Things just keep getting better and better for UNC basketball and Hubert Davis. Following a win on Tuesday night, the Heels are 10-1 on the year and they are silencing their haters left and right. Caleb Wilson balling out each night is only making things better.
Lessons learned from UNC's second-half surge in win over East Tennessee State
In the win over East Tennessee State, Henri Veesaar led the way with his career-high 26 points, but Wilson was also electric, scoring 20 and adding eight rebounds. Wilson is projected to be a Top 5 pick in the NBA Draft next year, but is he playing like the best player in the country right now? That's something the team over at The Field of 68 is ready to discuss:
"Guys, we need to have a real conversation about Caleb Wilson being the best player in the country." - @T_Oglesby22

Caleb Wilson is looking like one of the best players in the country for UNC
You gotta love seeing this! North Carolina was able to win a monster recruiting battle to sign Wilson and he hasn't disappointed at all. What makes his spectacular play even better, and we've said it before, is that he's so darn humble.
On the year, the diaper dandy is averaging 19.5 points and 10.4 rebounds per game. He has been a key reason why the Tar Heels are off to their hot start, with North Carolina ranked the No. 14 team in the country. Could the Heels sneak into the Top 10 in the near future?
That's the hope, but the schedule is certainly going to start getting tougher once ACC play gets here. For now, North Carolina is taking care of business against its non-conference opponents and a fun showdown on the road against Ohio State is coming up next.
Soon enough, conference action will get here and Wilson is going to have to be at his best for some head-turning wins to be posted. Thankfully for the UNC faithful, this kid is putting on a show and he's showing no signs of slowing down. Is he one of the best standouts across the board in college hoops? We'd like to think so.
