When Cade Tyson elected to enter his name into the transfer portal, many were curious as to what type of interest he'd draw.

Tyson went from being one of the most sought-after mid-major transfers a year ago to a guy who struggled mightily in his lone season with the UNC basketball program. While it didn't pan out in Chapel Hill, a long list of suitors have at least checked in on Tyson since he entered his name in the transfer portal.

Jamie Shaw of On3 provided an updated on Tyson's recruitment, mentioning more than 10 teams who have reached out thus far.

The likes of Kentucky, Iowa, Virginia Tech, Clemson, Oklahoma, and Ohio State are among the teams interested in Cade Tyson. Of the teams mentioned, Clemson may have an upper-hand, given his older brother, Hunter, played for the Tigers a few years ago.

After earning the reputation as one of the best three-point shooters in the country, Tyson transferred to North Carolina ahead of the 2024-2025 season. His first season in Chapel Hill didn't go as planned at all, as he was used sparingly off the bench and struggled mightily shooting the basketball.

In 31 games played, Tyson averaged 2.6 points and 1.1 rebounds per game, averaging just under eight minutes per contest. After shooting a staggering 46.5% from three-point range as a sophomore at Belmont, Tyson connected on less than 30% of his attempts as a junior (during his first year at North Carolina), and his free-throw percentage went down by about 30% as well.

Regardless of where he ends up, the hope is that a change of scenery will be good for him. If he ends up with another ACC squad, Tar Heel fans just hope that he doesn't have one of those games where he absolutely lights it up when facing off against his former squad!
