At the annual ACC Spring Meetings, being held at Amelia Island this year, Bill Belichick made his firsat appearance as the head coach of the UNC football program.
Belichick took some time to speak to the media, sitting down with ESPN's Christine Williamson for an exclusive interview. After talking a bit about the UNC football program, Williamson, of course, had to ask Belichick about the recent chatter about his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson.
While the media continues to try and make this a circus, those around the University of North Carolina continue to say that his relationship with Hudson is a non-issue.
Here's what Belichick had to say regarding the topic:

"It's a personal relationship and [Jordon] doesn't have anything to do with UNC football." pic.twitter.com/GrsNTqDAzr
“It's off to the side. A personal relationship. She doesn't have anything to do with UNC football. I’m excited to be back in coaches meetings."
While the focus should be on what Belichick and his new-look staff are doing in terms of building a roster for the 2025 season and beyond, the media can't help themselves from talking about Belichick's relationship with Hudson, his much younger girlfriend.
Heck, even Pablo Torre continues to add more fuel to the fire with his daily posts about the topic (even after the university came out and essentially denied Torre's original claims).
Yes, Belichick steals headlines and his relationship adds an extreme element to that. However, it feels like they are simply grasping at straws, using this enticing situation as a way to fill up news feeds during a slow time in the college football offseason.
Maybe everyone should just listen to Belichick and realize that his relationship with Hudson has no impact on the UNC football program.
Carry on, and let's talk about some daggum Tar Heels football!
