It looks like Bill Belichick wants to coach the son of one of his former running back standouts.

Having coached in the NFL for so long, there's bound to be situations where Bill Belichick is recruiting some of his former players sons on the recruiting trail.

One of those instances occurred this week, as the UNC football program extended an offer to Legarrette Blount Jr.

Now, if the name didn't give it away, he is the son of former NFL standout Legarrette Blount. A 9-year pro, Blount found a role in New England, helping the Patriots secure two Super Bowl titles.

Even though Blount Jr. is only a freshman, Belichick is wasting no time showing his interest in him.

Needless to say: dad is certainly hyped about the offer and is extremely proud of his son.

Don't be surprised to see Belichick and the UNC football program making this type of thing more of a trend as they certainly have a recruiting advantage when it comes to student-athletes whose fathers played for one of the greatest NFL coaches of all-time. It's certain that these student-athletes know what type of impact Belichick made on their fathers, as that might be a very enticing driving force for them as they hope to find similar success at both the college and potentially NFL levels.

Even though he didn't coach Peyton Manning, can we extend an offer to his son while we're at it? He's still young, but if you watched the NFL Pro Bowl Games, you know that kid has a special future ahead of him too!

I don't know about you, but I'm all for making a roster of NFL legacy kids for Belichick to coach!
