If you stayed up after UNC's collapse against Syracuse to hear what Bill Belichick had to say, you simply wasted your time.

Belichick made his way to the podium to conduct his post game press conference, but if you were thinking that the head coach of the Tar Heels would give us anything of substance to work with, you're about to be very disappointed.

In fact, Belichick's visit to the media room lasted less than three minutes.

Two minutes and 58 seconds to be exact.

You can listen to Belichick's press conference below, and also find a transcript of his short statements below that.

Bill Belichick gives us absolutely nothing after Syracuse loss

Opening statement

"They made a couple more plays than we did today, and that was the difference in a game. It was a hard-fought game, just like all the other ones we've seen Syracuse play. We just came up a little bit short."

Syracuse's passing success in the fourth quarter

"They hit a fake pass."

Was that the only difference you saw in the passing attack?

"If you take that play out of there, it's probably about the same, isn't it?"

On his decision to go for it on fourth down

"If you miss it there, give them another seven yards, they're almost in field goal range. It was 4th & 3 and felt like we had a good play. We weren't able to convert it."

The breakdowns that led to Syracuse getting back in the game

"We missed some opportunities, offensively. Gave up a long touchdown. That's pretty obvious. We had a couple of chances to stop them, the fourth down and the two-point conversion. They made both those plays."

Protection issues

"I mean, I don't know. We scored in the overtime. We went down and scored in overtime. Again, look, they made some plays. We made some plays. Couldn't get any closer than that."

UNC's struggles stopping Syracuse on fourth down

"They converted a couple of plays. They were able to make a play. We didn't. We made one stop and they converted a couple of them."

On his viewpoint of the two-point conversion

"It was on the other side of the field, I couldn't see much. … It's hard to tell. I don't know."

What has made it hard for UNC to separate in close games

"We are playing teams that are pretty evenly matched."
