Remember all of the excitement that was surrounding UNC football when it was announced that the NFL GOAT Bill Belichick was moving to Chapel Hill? Since then, nothing but bad press has surrounded the program, of course including Belichick's relationship with Jordon Hudson.
The play on the field is only making things worse, as the Heels have limped their way to a 2-3 record, with the 38-10 loss to Clemson on Oct. 4 making even more people lose patience with the clown show that's being displayed by Belichick and Co.
Bill Belichick and North Carolina have discussed buyout options
How could things get worse? Leave it to the one and only Paul Finebaum to have more people shaking their heads, as he went scorched earth on Belichick for what's been going on with UNC under his watch. The worst college coach ever? Yup, that's what Finebaum had on his mind when talking about Belichick this week:

Paul Finebaum blasted Bill Belichick for what's going on with UNC football
“We’re talking about Bill Belichick, who is the greatest NFL coach in history,” Finebaum said while on with ESPN. “He’s working toward being the worst coach in college football history. That’s how bad he is. There’s nothing to be happy about, it’s an abject disaster.”
Tell us how you really feel, Paul. When Belichick first signed on to take over as head coach for North Carolina, everyone was expecting him to run a tight ship and get this program back on the right track. The opposite has been the case and nothing but drama is being showcased.
On Wednesday alone, reports flew in that Belichick could be on his way out. There were talks of a buyout, UNC looking at ways to get out of his contract and more. Forget Belichick being one and done in the ACC - he might be on his way out before the end of the season. Late Wednesday night, Belichick and AD Bubba Cunningham released a statement to say no major changes are coming, but people are still a bit skeptical on how things will play out here.
Apparenty UNC head coach Bill Belichick isn't going anywhere
Not only that, it still feels like it's far from a lock that Belichick is going to be on the sidelines come Oct. 17 when the Heels take on Cal. That's going to be a primetime Friday night showdown, but again, no one knows for sure if Belichick is going to still be the head man in charge. The statement being released hasn't changed everyone's mind that BB is in it for the long haul.
Had you told us over the summer that this was even a remote possibility, we would have never believed you. Belichick will go down as one of the best coaches of all time at any level, but his time in Chapel Hill has been a disaster. In unreal fashion, it could come to an end much sooner than any one would have guessed it would.
