When a university makes the decision to fire their head coach, two important questions come to the forefront:

First, who will be the replacement for that coach?

Second, what will happen with that program's recruiting classes?

When Florida announced that Billy Napier was being fired, the attention swirled to Gainesville. Other college programs are already exploring potential options that they can flip from the Gators. as the UNC football program is wasting no time trying to lure some of this talent to Chapel Hill.

Rivals reported that four-star offensive tackle Tyler Chukuyem is scheduled to take an official visit to Chapel Hill next weekend. The Douglasville, Georgia native has been committed to Florida since June 16.

The UNC football program has made a strong effort to build an elite-level recruiting class. In need of adding elite talent to the roster, the Tar Heels are focused on the 2026 recruiting class to help pave the way toward future success, as this group, which already features 30+ commitments, has plenty of room to continue growing before its all said and done.

Don't be surprised to see North Carolina jump in the mix for other Florida Gator commits as this situation continues to develop. Based on how quickly things are moving with Chukuyem, the UNC football program might already be in a strong position to flip his commitment within the near future.

While some will say the noise in Chapel Hill is "scaring recruits away," Bill Belichick and the UNC football program continue to prove that is simply false.
