Armando Bacot is taking his talents overseas.
The former UNC basketball legend has agreed to a one-year deal with Fenerbahce in Turkey. According to Jeff Goodman, the deal will earn Bacot more than $1 million this season.

While Tar Heel Nation knows that Bacot belongs on an NBA roster, a player like Bacot has to make the best business decision for themselves. Even though there were likely opportunities to compete in the NBA G League once again, Bacot elected to pursue this overseas venture, one that will compensate him significally more.
We all already know that Bacot is a savvy businessman!
The frustrating part about it is this: how much more can he prove to earn a crack at an NBA roster spot?
He dominated for five seasons at North Carolina, and nearly averaged a double-double last season in the G League with the Memphis Hustle. While some will point directly to his age, you can't even argue that it's due to his limited range:
This dude became a very competent shooter from outside the paint, especially beyond the three-point line!
There was NO STOPPING Armando Bacot! 💪

The former @UNC_Basketball legend averaged 18.2 PPG and 9.5 RPG during his rookie season with the @memphishustle. Bacot had five 30+ point games including 35 PTS/14 REB vs. the Capitanes and 34 PTS/25 REB vs. the Warriors. pic.twitter.com/r7veOap5DE
While the NBA keeps making the mistake of finding a roster spot for him, Bacot will continue his professional basketball grind in Turkey. Given his resume, it's certain that he'll make an immediate impact with his new team, making the most of this newfound opportunity to compete.
