Armando Bacot is heading to San Francisco.

The former UNC basketball star has been voted in by the fans to participate in the 2025 NBA G League Up Next Game presented by AT&T during NBA All-Star Weekend.

In his first professional season, Bacot has been impressive, averaging 13.9 points and 9.4 rebounds per-game for the Memphis Hustle. The legendary Tar Heel big man has also improved his game, especially with regard to shooting the basketball, as he's shown the capability of knocking down shots from beyond the three-point line. This element will be crucial for him as he pursues an opportunity with an NBA club, as being able to knock down shots from deep will only increase his overall value.

While UNC basketball fans are certainly missing his presence in the post this season, it's great to see Bacot thriving to begin his professional career. The former Tar Heel will have the opportunity to compete alongside some of the best players that the NBA G League has to offer in this special event during NBA All Star Weekend, an opportunity that will hopefully lead to an NBA team giving him as chance to show his worth during the second half of the season.

The 2025 NBA G League Up Next Game will take place on Sunday, February 16th at 3:30 PM and can be viewed on the NBA App. It will feature a tournament-style format with four teams, all drafted by influencer general managers. Four teams of seven players will compete in two semifinal games and will be played with rules similar to Rising Stars. Two teams will square off in Semifinals matchups to 30 points, and the winning teams will face off in a Championship game to determine an overall winner.
