Is there even words to describe how good Gavin Gallaher is when postseason baseball arrives, especially in the Chapel Hill Regional of the NCAA Tournament?!

Last year around this time, UNC baseball standout freshman Gavin Gallaher had a breakout party, earning the Chapel Hill Regional Most Outstanding Player award.

Fast forward to 2025, and Gallaher, if you can even fathom it, put together a performance that topped last year's Chapel Hill Regional performance.

Overall, Gallaher went 13 for 18, recording three home runs, two doubles and a triple. He recorded a staggering 10 RBIs over the four-game span, leading the UNC baseball program to a consecutive Super Regional appearance.

In the winner-take-all game on Monday against Oklahoma, Gallaher finished the regional with a bang. He homered in consecutive at-bats in the eighth and ninth innings, absolutely smoking both baseballs out of the ballpark.

This was the first one...

Followed by this one, one that could've easily had flames on it for how fast it traveled off the bat (over 112 MPH!)

Seriously though: if you happen to walk by Gavin Gallaher in Chapel Hill, be careful if you touch him... the dude is on FIRE!

With his stretch of performances this weekend, there was never even a doubt:

Gavin Gallaher is once again the Chapel Hill Regional Most Outstanding Player!

Now, Gallaher hopes to keep his red-hot offensive stretch going as the UNC baseball program welcomes Arizona to Chapel Hill for the Super Regionals. After getting a taste of Omaha a season ago, Gallaher will look to anchor the Tar Heels lineup back to the College World Series, hoping their trip to Omaha lasts a little longer this time around.
