A beloved tradition returned ahead of the UNC football program's season opener against TCU, and it's safe to say that it's return didn't disappoint!

The Old Well Walk, one that has the coaches, staff and players walk from the historical landmark to Kenan Stadium through a sea of people who are in Chapel Hill to root them on, took place earlier this afternoon. It's a tradition that fans were excited to see return.

While it hasn't gone fully away (since Larry Fedora changed it to the Bell Tower Walk due to him believing it was too far of a walk prior to game time), it's back to its original roots, the same route that Carl Torbush established in 2000.

The fans let it be known how excited they are that this tradition is back in the fold, as evident by the videos and images below.

Chapel Hill has been buzzing essentially all day long, as the support from Tar Heel faithful even surpasses our highest expectations leading up to Monday night's season opener. It's safe to say that fans are absolutely pumped up for the start of this new era in Carolina football, especially with the legendary head coach Bill Belichick leading the charge.

Without a doubt, the players, most of whom are newcomers to the program, felt the love from the Carolina fans as they marched toward Kenan Stadium for the first game of the 2025 season.

Now, it's up to the fans in attendance to bring that same energy come game time!
