An iconic tradition returns in the new "Chapel Thrill Gameday" experience

Pre-game festivities in Chapel Hill ahead of UNC football games are about be electric!

Ahead of the start of the 2025 season, a monumental one for the program given Bill Belichick's arrival as the team's new head coach, the university revealed the all new "Chapel Thrill Game Day Experience." Tar Heel fans will be able to enjoy these festivities prior to each of the UNC football program's six home games this fall.

Expanding from last year's plans, this year features some new initiatives and brings back an iconic tradition. The Chapel Thrill Concert Series, sponsored by The Rams Club, will feature national recording artists who will perform in front of the Wilson Library approximately two hours before kickoff.

The Old Well Walk is set to return, which will certainly be an exciting feature that fans will be pumped to have back on the pre-game slate.

In case you're unfamiliar with the tradition, which was held from 2001 to 2012, the team will walk from the Old Well through Polk Place and around the Bell Tower to the stadium, allowing fans the opportunity to cheer the team on as they prepare for the game.

The Modelo Kickoff Club is set to double in size, while the Coca-Cola Fan Zone will continue to be a great place for Tar Heel fans to enjoy fun activities and giveaways.

North Carolina is truly going all-in when it comes to the football program. From the hiring of Belichick to the tons of money spent on facilities, roster construction, and pre-game festivities, North Carolina strives to build up its football program to be not only among the nation's best on the field, but among the top places to go on Saturdays in the fall.
