The situation keeps getting worse for the entire UNC football program.

With all the negative attention surrounding the program, more continues to circulate. Following a WRAL report that players were reportedly selling their spare game tickets, Bruce Feldman of The Athletic has reported that an assistant coach has been suspended in relation to these allegations that have surfaced.

That assistant coach is Armond Hawkins, the UNC football program's cornerbacks coach. According to Feldman's report, the extra benefits allegations specifically mentioned sideline passes for family members, a benefit that is not available to every player on the roster.

Hawkins was previously a secondary analyst and assistant director of recruiting at Washington before heading to Chapel Hill with Steve Belichick, North Carolina's current defensive coordinator. Two of the players mentioned in WRAL's original story are guys who transferred from Washington to North Carolina during the offseason.

This situation keeps getting worse by the second, especially with all the information that continues to circulate. If the report is confirmed, which, based on the sources seems to be the case, this is a bad look for the UNC football program and could ultimately lead to an investigation as to what is really going on in Chapel Hill.

The only way to describe this situation is a complete, utter disaster, one that doesn't appear to have an end in sight.

Buckle up, Tar Heel fans: the bumpy ride is set to continue...
