Another day, another preseason honor for fifth-year forward Alyssa Ustby.

The UNC women's basketball star was named to the John R. Wooden Award Preseason Top 50 Watchlist. Selected by a preseason poll of collegiate basketball experts, the list is comprised of 50 student-athletes who are front-runners for both the Wooden All-American Team and Most Outstanding Player Award.

Ustby has been no stranger to preseason accolades as she has earned the below honors thus far:

Preseason All-ACC
Cheryl Miller Small Forward Award Preseason Watch List
Naismith Trophy Watchlist

Ustby is the definition of versatile. On the basketball court, Ustby impacts the game in a variety of ways, as her skill set has been a crucial element toward the UNC women's basketball program's success over her tenure in Chapel Hill.

During her true senior season, the Rochester, Minnesota native averaged 12.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. For her efforts, she earned Second-Team All-ACC honors, extending her all-conference honors streak to three consecutive seasons.

It's no surprise that Ustby is considered among the top players in the country, as her resume that she's built in Chapel Hill is one that deserves national recognition. If she continues producing at an elite level, Ustby will earn a ton of more recognition before her UNC women's basketball career comes to a close in a few months.
