1,200 rebounds and counting!

On Thursday night, Alyssa Ustby became just the third UNC women's basketball player ever to reach the 1,200 rebound milestone. She passed the legendary Charlotte Smith for second place all-time, now only trailing Bernadette McGlade on this impressive list.

With time to spare this season, Ustby should claim the top spot before her UNC women's basketball career comes to a close.

Yes, Ustby had the benefit of a fifth season of eligibility. However, it shouldn't take away from what she has been able to accomplish, especially in the rebounding department.

Not many players have a knack for rebounding the basketball like Ustby does, as she has been a vacuum on the glass on both ends of the floor. Her high motor always seems to help her be in the right place at the right time, as she isn't afraid to battle underneath the glass for the basketball.

Ustby has put together an outstanding career with the UNC women's basketball program. When her time in Chapel Hill comes to an end, Tar Heel fans will remember her for her ability to make winning plays while making a major impact in a variety of ways, as her rebounding skills will be remembers as arguably her greatest trait that she brought to the table.
