The Senior Bowl scouting department is one of the hardest working groups in the business.

Each year, this department, comprised entirely of former NFL scouts, evaluates over 2,000 prospects from all levels of college football. Through the extensive process, the group comes up with its Senior Bowl Top 300 list, ranking the top draft eligible players for this upcoming NFL Draft class.

For the UNC football program, three Tar Heels earned spots on this year's list.

Marcus Allen returns to North Carolina for his senior season, looking to end his UNC football career with a bang. A full-time starter a season ago, Allen recorded 36 tackles and two interceptions, as the expectation is that he will once again play a significant role in the UNC football program's second during the 2025 campaign.

Allen's new running mate, Thaddeus Dixon, also earned a spot on the list. A transfer from Washington, Dixon is coming off a season in which he earned honorable mention All-Big Ten honors, recording 43 tackles and 10 pass breakups.

North Carolina hopes to see a lot of pass breakups and interceptions from the duo this upcoming season.

The other Senior Bowl Top 300 selection is Daniel King, an offensive lineman who is transferring to North Carolina after spending two seasons at Troy. An above-average blocker, King was regarded as the Sun Belt Conference's fourth-best blocker (according to Pro Football Focus), as his blocking on the right side of the line helped pave the way for both a 1,000-yard rusher and 1,000-yard receiver a season ago.

All three players, along with a handful of other upperclassmen, will look to make a strong impact this season for the UNC football program. To earn an honor like this is rather impressive, especially given the number of players who are evaluated on a yearly basis.

Of course, now it's time to prove that the rankings are justified, as the trio will look to make things happen on the field to help the UNC football program win some games over the next few months.
