When it comes to inserting an entirely new regime, it's expected that plenty of candidates will be named as potential fits to fill the voids on the staff.
We've heard plenty about the UNC football program's staff, both on-field and player personnel-wise, as Bill Belichick and Michael Lombardi continue to search for the right people to help them guide the program.
While Bill's son, Stephen, is expected to become the program's defensive coordinator, there is still a void to be filled on the ofensive side of the football.
Even though Tar Heel fans won't like this very much, a new name has emerged as a favorite to become the team's next offensive coordinator.

Matt Zenitz of 247Sports is reporting that the current belief is that Freddie Kitchens, the man who led the UNC football program in their bowl game loss to UConn, will be tabbed as the team's offensive coordinator. Kitchens, one of the very few people from Mack Brown's staff who are expected to remain with the program into the Belichick era, has served as the tight ends coach for each of the previous two seasons.
Other than his lone season as the Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator in 2018, Kitchens doesn't have much play calling experience to his name. Throughout his coaching career, Kitchens has mostly served as a positional coach, as the initial thought was that Belichick would utilize him in the same role he's been fulfilling ever since he arrived in Chapel Hill.
It's a bit of a head scratcher to say the least, especially considering some of the other viable options that are out there. However, Belichick seems to have a plan, one that involves Kitchens running his offensive unit.
