The University of North Carolina will once again be well-represented in the annual McDonald's All-American games.
On Monday, the list of players competing in the 2026 McDonald's All-American Games was announced, as the lists featured a future Tar Heel on both the men's and women's sides.
Kate Harpring
In the conversation of being considered the top player in the 2026 recruiting class, Kate Harpring has made a name for herself. The daughter of former NBA veteran Matt Harpring, the last name is a familiar one for those around the basketball world, but Kate isn't looking to live in her dad's shadow.
She has every intention of making her own impact on the sport.

The UNC women's basketball program will be represented by Harpring at this year's event. A year ago, current freshman Nyla Brooks competed, marking the first Tar Heel to earn a spot to play in this historic event since Deja Kelly a few years prior.
Now with back-to-back years of Tar Heel representation, Courtney Banghart hopes to keep the trend going moving forward.
Maximo Adams
Currently serving as the lone commitment for Hubert Davis' 2026 recruiting class, Maximo Adams has served as one of the highest-rising prospects that his graduating class has to offer.
His ascension has taken him to a McDonald's All-American level, and you bet the Tar Heels are excited about having him heading to Chapel Hill in just a few short months, showing that while small in number, the 2026 recruiting class is bringing in a star to join next year's roster.
