Regardless of who takes over as the team's coach, these five players are some that the UNC football program can't afford to lose.
Beau Atkinson- Defensive Lineman
Another in-state product, Atkinson is a young defensive lineman who showed flashes of being really good for this program moving forward.
His production from his freshman to sophomore season went up drastically, as he recorded 10 more tackles and three more sacks. A presence on the defensive line, Atkinson is a guy that the Tar Heels can build around as the new coaching regime hopes to figure out the program's defensive woes as a whole.
Having Atkinson around would be a good start toward figuring out that problem.
