Ryan Lynch

Walker McDuffie is certainly an honorable mention on this list, given his 3.2 innings of shutout baseball in his UNC baseball debut.

However, Ryan Lynch, another newcomer, was just as impressive.

Lynch took the mound at Boshamer Stadium in a real game for the first time on Sunday and showcased why the Diamond Heels are so excited about having him on their staff. Showing off his tremendous amount of confidence, Lynch struck out seven of the 12 batters he retired. He was awarded the win in the Tar Heels' sweep securing victory on Sunday.

While the veteran returners will receive a lot of attention, the Diamond Heels have a few newcomers (especially within the freshman class) that we should be hearing a lot about over the next few seasons.
