3 Head Coaching candidates that the UNC football program should avoid at all costs
Andy Kotelnicki
Andy Kotelnicki has plenty of experience as an offensive coordinator. In fact, he has a reputation as one of the best offensive minds in the country.
However, it's a hard pass for me.
Sure, Penn State has done well in his first season with the Nittany Lions and will draw plenty of interest from schools looking for a new leader, I don't believe he's a fit for the job at North Carolina.
Personally, I would prefer the Tar Heels to hire a defensive minded coach (I'm sure you understand why). Before I would go about hiring a guy like Kotelnicki as a head coach, I'd want to see him lead another program first, as the Tar Heels can't afford to hire someone who they aren't sure about in terms of leadership skills.
Let's face it: it's a lot different being a head coach than it is being an assistant.
