There weren't many upsets this past weekend (opposed to what we've seen the two weeks prior), but let's keep it real: most of the top 25 teams were battle tested for sure.

Oregon and Ohio State battled it out while Penn State, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee were all able to find a way to win. Georgia was the only team of the four to win by double-digits, but man, were those games tight!

Texas dominated No. 18-ranked Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry, maintaining the top spot in this week's rankings. The Longhorns will host Georgia in a huge primetime matchup this week, as we'll see if Georgia can once again cause chaos to our rankings.

Two teams ranked in our 12-team College Football Playoff rankings from a week ago lost (Ohio State and Ole Miss). How do our rankings look this week?

The easy fix was to insert Oregon into Ohio State's spot from a week ago. I elected to put the Buckeyes at No. 5 for two apparent reasons:

For starters- they lost to a really good Oregon team in a top-5 battle. If the Ducks had their way against the Buckeyes, they would've dropped much further.

Additionally, that middle of the pack group is one that I feel is up for debate. All of those teams have had their positive moments but each have suffered at least one loss, so it's tough to really say at this point who deserves to be ranked higher or lower.

We'll let the games decide that!

The only other move we saw was Ole Miss dropping out of the rankings. I got to say: I was very high on the Rebels, but now they aren't included in the mix. I could've threw Clemson in their spot, but the ACC is so weak that I elected to give LSU the nod following their big win this weekend.

I'm very interested to see how the upcoming SEC schedule impacts the rankings. If the SEC schools continue to beat up on each other, it might open up some opportunities for teams in other conferences to sneak in.

Unfortunately, the Tar Heels aren't anywhere close to being in the mix... maybe next year...
