UNC Basketball: Coby White is on a historic run for the Chicago Bulls
The former UNC basketball star has been playing at an elite level for the Chicago Bulls in their most recent stretch of games.
Over the last few weeks, Coby White has been playing basketball at an elite level.
The former UNC basketball star point guard has really come into his own, as he’s been absolutely on fire offensively.
In the Chicago Bulls’ latest 10-game stretch, White has drained 47 three-pointers. That mark set a new franchise record, as he averaged over four three-pointers made per contest.
To add to that, White connected on 51.1% of his three-point field goal attempts over that span, as he averaged 21 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game.
The Bulls have been without Zach Lavine over the last four games, but don’t worry, White has been more than capable of filling the void.
Leading Chicago to four-straight victories since Lavine has been sidelined, here are White’s averages during that span of games:
24.3 points
6.5 rebounds
6.0 assists
47% field goal percentage
53% three-point percentage
87% free throw percentage
During the offseason, the Bulls extended White through the 2025-2026 season. The former Tar Heel is set to make around $12 million per year during the life of the contract, a deal that is looking more like a steal every time White takes the court.
At just 23 years old (hard to believe, right?!), it looks like White is on the verge of putting together a breakout season. If you’re wondering why the Bulls didn’t trade him in the past, his recent stretch of games is proof that he can become an NBA superstar.
We might just be on the cusp of that rise to stardom happening for Coby White.
