UNC Baseball: First look at the 2024 season schedule

Here’s your first look at what the 2024 regular season schedule will look like for head coach Scott Forbes and the UNC baseball program.

You might not be ready to hear this, but baseball season is just around the corner!

The UNC baseball team released its schedule for the 2024 season on Thursday afternoon. North Carolina will open its season with a three-game series against Wagner on February 16.

There are going to be plenty of opportunities to see the Diamond Heels at Boshamer Stadium, as 34 of the Tar Heels games are scheduled to be played at home. The majority of non-conference action will occur in Chapel Hill as well, as 19 of the 24 contests are slated to be played at home.

North Carolina will kick off conference play on March 8 as they’ll host Pittsburgh for a three-game series. The Tar Heels will also host Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech (April 26–28), and Louisville at Boshamer Stadium throughout the 2024 campaign.

In terms of conference road games, the Diamond Heels will make trips to Miami, Wake Forest, Virginia, N.C. State and Duke this season.

The schedule won’t be easy for the UNC baseball program, as they’ll play against 25 teams that made the NCAA Tournament a season ago. Although the Diamond Heels have a bunch of newcomers on the roster (both incoming freshmen and transfers), the goal to be one of the best teams in the country remains the same.
