The UNC football program continues to be impacted by the transfer portal, as two young wide receivers have decided to leave Chapel Hill.

Mack Brown and the UNC football program have lost a handful of players to the transfer portal, as two young wide receivers have become notable entries.

First was Andre Greene Jr., the wide receiver weโ€™ve all heard so much about. Unfortunately, the hype hasnโ€™t resulted in significant playing time, as he recorded just two catches for 17 yards in limited action this season as a redshirt freshman.

The latest entry came from Tychaun โ€œDocโ€ Chapman. Similar to his classmate Greene Jr., Chapman was a redshirt freshman this season. As we saw glimpses of his speed and playmaking abilities, the Virginia Beach, Virginia native hauled in seven passes for 135 yards and a touchdown. He also made an impact on special teams as a kick returner, as his 51-yard return against Georgia Tech was arguably the most electric play of his short Tar Heel career.

Itโ€™s disappointing to see two talented wide receivers leave the program via the transfer portal, as it appeared that Mack Brown and the UNC football program had high hopes for them in the future. Theyโ€™ll both look for new opportunities to earn more playing time elsewhere, as both should draw plenty of interest from other programs.
