RJ Davis joins some exclusive UNC basketball company

Throughout the start of his senior season for the UNC basketball program, RJ Davis has been an absolute force on the offensive side of the ball.

The senior guard from White Plains, New York has been outstanding for the UNC basketball program, as his recent stretch of offensive performances have put him amongst some elite Tar Heel company.

Davis has scored 27 or more points in each of his last three games, as he became the first Tar Heel since Joe Forte to accomplish the feat. He also became just the tenth UNC basketball player ever to do this, as you’ll be very impressed by the list Davis now can add his name to.

After a big-time 30-point performance against No. 20-ranked Arkansas in the Battle 4 Atlantis third-place game, Davis returned to Chapel Hill looking to continue his offensive success. He followed up that performance with back-to-back 27-point outings, as he led the Tar Heels to wins over No. 10-ranked Tennessee and, most recently, Florida State (in a game that North Carolina trailed by as many as 14).

What more could you say about how Davis has played so far this season, as he’s taken his game to a whole new level. It has been a huge aspect of the UNC basketball program’s success, as Hubert Davis hopes that his senior guard can continue to lead this team on both sides of the ball as we get deeper into the 2023-2024 season.

It’s not a stretch by any means to say that RJ Davis is currently among the best scoring guards in the entire country, as he’s proving that those who doubted him heading into the season are going to regret it when it’s all said and done.
