The UNC basketball program’s senior guard has been recognized for his outstanding play during the recent Battle 4 Atlantis tournament.

RJ Davis was one of the biggest standouts for the UNC basketball program during the Battle 4 Atlantis tournament in the Bahamas.

For his efforts, Davis has earned a spot on the Battle 4 Atlantis All-Tournament team.

Davis got better as the tournament went on, as he increased his scoring output in each of the Tar Heels’ three contests. He made it difficult for Hubert Davis to take him off the court, as he played at least 32 minutes in each game, including 41 in the overtime loss to Villanova.

His best performance in the Bahamas was in the third-place game, as he erupted for 30 points to help the UNC basketball program defeated No. 20-ranked Arkansas by double-digits.

Overall, Davis averaged 22 points per game while shooting 41 percent from the floor. His 18.2 points per game over the first six contests serves as the best on the UNC basketball program’s roster.

Davis is starting to get hot offensively, which is a great sign for the Tar Heels early on in the season. As he continues to be the UNC basketball program’s top scoring threat, the hope is that Davis can continue his early season success as the program not only battles through the tough remaining non-conference slate, but once ACC play gets fully underway in the new year.

RJ Davis and the UNC basketball return home this week to host Tennessee in the ACC/SEC Challenge on Wednesday night.
