Mack Brown and the UNC football program have one more regular season game, as they’ll head to Raleigh to take on NC State.

However you want to put it, we have reached the end of the 2023 college football regular season.

The UNC football program has struggled down the stretch, losing each of its last three ACC contests, as they’ll look to end the regular season on a positive note in Raleigh on Saturday night against in-state foe NC State.

A few weeks ago, you probably would’ve assumed that these two programs are in much different spots at this point in the season.

For North Carolina, after a 6-0 start, many felt the Tar Heels could ultimately be ACC title game and even College Football Playoff contenders.

After a 24-3 loss to Duke to put them at 4-3 on the season, not many people expected much of NC State over the final few weeks of the season.

Well, that’s why we play the games, as the Tar Heels haven’t taken care of business while the Wolfpack have. Both teams are trending in totally different directions as they look to win the latest installment of this in-state rivalry.

The Wolfpack have won each of the last two meetings, including a double-overtime win in Chapel Hill a season ago. Tar Heels fans don’t need to be reminded about how an NC State flag was planted on the middle of the field at Kenan Stadium.

The big question remains: can the Tar Heels get some revenge and end the regular season on a positive note?
