Austin O’Connor

Yes, he’s probably very busy in his new role as the Assistant Coach for the Illinois wrestling program, but I’m sure he can spare a few hours to sit down and eat some great food with us!

The good news for Austin is that he won’t have to watch his weight and can eat whatever he wants!

Thanksgiving is typically a nightmarish holiday for wrestlers, as upcoming tournaments and matches keep them from feasting out on Thanksgiving. However, coaches can eat whatever they want, so O’Connor can make up for missed meals this year!

Not only can we talk about his two national titles as a member of the UNC wrestling program, but we can also get his take on his transition into the world of coaching.

Although I want to learn some tennis skills from Fiona Crawley, I definitely don’t want to try my hand on the wrestling mat!
