Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program are off to the Bahamas to compete in this year’s Battle 4 Atlantis tournament.

For the first time this season, Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program will hit the road as they’ll compete in the annual Battle 4 Atlantis tournament in the Bahamas during Thanksgiving week.

The Tar Heels last appeared in the event back in November 2019. In that tournament, the UNC basketball program, led by the likes of Garrison Brooks, Cole Anthony, and Armando Bacot, finished third overall after winning two of their three contests.

North Carolina is guaranteed to play three games in three days, as the times will all depend on the results.

Here’s the full official bracket for this year’s event:

What we do know is this: North Carolina will play in the opening game of the event as they’ll take on Northern Iowa on Wednesday afternoon.

After that, the rest of the tournament is a question mark until the games are officially underway.

North Carolina will face either Villanova or Texas Tech on Thursday. If the Tar Heels move on in the winners’ bracket, they will be scheduled to play at 2:30 PM EST on Thanksgiving day. If they lose to Northern Iowa in the opening round, they’ll play at 12:00 PM EST in the losers bracket.

The Battle 4 Atlantis should be a great early season test for Hubert Davis’ team, as there are plenty of quality teams in this year’s tournament field. Over the next week, we should learn a lot about this year’s UNC basketball team.

Bacot will have another opportunity to compete in the Battle 4 Atlantis, as the goal is to win the whole dadgum thing this time around.
