College GameDay predicts UNC Football vs. Clemson contest

How does the ESPN College GameDay panel predict how Saturday afternoon’s contest between the UNC football program and Clemson will go?

Ahead of the big ACC matchup between the UNC football program and the Clemson Tigers, the ESPN College GameDay crew provided their predictions for the upcoming clash.

Unlike past weeks where we saw the panel mostly one-sided for UNC football predictions, this week, the five panelists were split on how they think this game will go.

Desmond Howard got the ball rolling by picking the Tar Heels to win, while Pat McAfee followed by also siding with North Carolina. McAfee went on to show Omarion Hampton some love, as he raved about the underrated season that the sophomore running back is having.

As it looked like North Carolina could run away as the clear-cut favorite based on the panel, the next two selections went in favor of the Clemson Tigers.

Guest picker PFT Commenter went with the home team, while Lee Corso followed by taking the Tigers as well.

Tied at two apiece, it came down to Kirk Herbstreit’s prediction, as he elected to put his faith in the UNC football program this afternoon.

These weekly predictions are always fun to monitor, as the panel has decided once again to favor the UNC football program. If you’re worried about Lee Corso’s pick after he was perfect a week ago, just think about it- he is destined to be wrong at least once this weekend!

The UNC football program will look to defeat the Clemson Tigers this afternoon in their second to last regular season contest. Kick-off in Death Valley is scheduled for 3:30 PM EST.
