The UNC football prepares for its final two regular-season contests as they get ready to travel to take on Clemson in a 2022 ACC title game rematch.

After a thrilling double-overtime victory over rival Duke, Mack Brown and the UNC football program prepare for a two-game road trip to end the 2023 college football regular season.

The first stop comes at a place that hasn’t been friendly to the Tar Heels of late: Clemson.

Although the Tigers aren’t the team we all expected them to be record-wise (6-4 coming into this game), they still need to be respected as one of the top programs in the country. Clemson is starting to get hot, having won two straight games, as it’s probably not a good time for North Carolina to be heading to South Carolina for a rematch of last year’s ACC title game.

We all remember how that one went…

Clemson has won the last five meetings between the two teams, as the last UNC football victory came back on October 9, 2010. The last time North Carolina won at Clemson was 22 years ago during the 2001 season.

Could this be the year that the Tar Heels stop the streak?

They’ll definitely have to be better defensively, as they’ve allowed at least 45 points in each of their last two ACC contests. Yes, Drake Maye and the Tar Heels offense can keep up in an offensive slugfest, but given the red zone struggles, it’s something that North Carolina would like to avoid.

Both teams are essentially out in regards to an ACC title game bid this season, but there’s still plenty left to play for as these two teams draw closer to the end of the college football regular season.
