After a blowout victory over Campbell, the UNC football program looks to secure a victory against rival Duke in its final home game of the season.

The final home game of the 2023 regular season is just a few days away, as the UNC football program gets set to host rival Duke on its “Senior Day” in Chapel Hill.

In what likely will be Drake Maye’s last game at Kenan Stadium as a Tar Heel, the program hopes to beat their rivals in the latest installment of the Tobacco Road Rivalry. If North Carolina wants to have any hope of staying in the ACC title game mix, they can’t afford to lose the rest of the way, as the next three weekends are crucial for Mack Brown and company.

On the other side, Duke will be without star quarterback Riley Leonard once again, as they’ll turn to freshman Grayson Loftis to run the offense. The Blue Devils are going to come out looking to run the football, as the run game has been the team’s bread and butter offensively, especially in Leonard’s absence.

If Maye and company can get points on the board early, it will put the pressure on Duke to have to throw the ball, which has been somewhat out of their comfort zone. As the Tar Heels defense has struggled lately, especially against the run, it will be critical to win the battle up front on both sides of the football, providing running lanes for Omarion Hampton while slowing down the Blue Devils rushing attack.

Unlike the last few weeks, you won’t need much motivation to get pumped up for this one. Final home game against the university’s biggest rival.

Doesn’t get much better than this!
