Most Likely to Lead Defensive Effort: Harrison Ingram

With Leaky Black’s departure, the UNC basketball program lost the guy who was essentially their lockdown defender throughout his Tar Heel career.

As a versatile player, Black guarded multiple positions, often shadowing the other team’s top-scoring threat.

This year, Stanford transfer Harrison Ingram looks to fill that void, as his versatility and ability to make smart plays defensively should really help this year’s squad.

Now, Ingram isn’t as highly touted as Black in regards to defense, but with athletic players around him, Ingram could definitely be an even better defender this upcoming season. He’ll be responsible for making sure that the Tar Heels are active and engaging on the defensive side of the floor, as they have the depth and talent to be a very good defensive team.
