After two straight losses, the UNC football program returns home to host non-conference foe Campbell in their second to last home game.

Coming off back-to-back conference losses, the UNC football program gets a bit of a break from ACC play as they host the Campbell Fighting Camels in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon.

This game will serve as the second-to-last home game for the Tar Heels this season, as next week’s battle against Duke will be the team’s ‘Senior Day.’ Before we get there, the Tar Heels need to find a way to get back on track and fast, as this may be the perfect weekend to do it.

Everything was going well for the UNC football program until it wasn’t, as a 6-0 start and a top-10 national ranking disappeared in a matter of two weeks. Unranked for the first time this season, North Carolina looks to prove that they still can compete for a ACC conference title game bid, even though the path to get there will be much more difficult.

The Camels, a member of the Colonial Athletic Conference, will be making history with this game, as this is the first time ever that they’ll match up with an Atlantic Coast Conference squad. Campbell has been a very streaky team this season, as they sit at 4-4 heading into this matchup.

In what should be a blowout type of game is one that has UNC football fans concerned, as the Tar Heels essentially slept on two lesser ACC opponents. What’s to say that they won’t do it again this week?

Optimistically, you would think that the Tar Heels will be ready for this one. However, we’ll wait and see on Saturday if this could be the start of a season turnaround in Chapel Hill.
