UNC Basketball: Hansbrough addresses John Wall “beef”

UNC basketball legend Tyler Hansbrough set the record straight regarding the claims that John Wall previously made about him.

Remember when John Wall essentially blamed Tyler Hansbrough for not joining the UNC basketball program?

In case you aren’t aware of what Wall said, as Theo Pinson would say… ROLL THE CLIP!

Wall claimed that Hansbrough told him flat-out that he “doesn’t talk to recruits.” The former Kentucky Wildcat said that his so-called “encounter” with Hansbrough was the reason why he didn’t go to North Carolina.

Well, Hansbrough seems to have a different view on the situation, if there was even one…

On the latest episode of the Tidal League’s Run Your Race Podcast, hosted by UNC basketball alum Theo Pinson, Hansbrough tells his side of the story, as his response is a rather comical one.

Hansbrough goes on to say that he reached out to former UNC basketball teammates, who also don’t recall Wall ever stepping foot on campus. Of course, Hansbrough says there’s no bad blood toward Wall, but he goes on the record to say that Wall’s story never actually happened.

One thing that both Pinson and Hansbrough agreed on is this: if any UNC basketball player told a recruit that, there was a very good chance that head coach Roy Williams would have them running until they simply can’t anymore!
