There really was no doubt as to who would be the Tar Heels’ big man heading into this upcoming season.

Bacot returns for his fifth (and final season) in Chapel Hill, as the new-look roster should open up opportunities for the Tar Heels big man to see more opportunities in the post. With more credible shooters surrounding him, opponents won’t be able to clog the paint as much, as we could very well see him put together another strong season to boost his already impressive UNC basketball resume.

With plenty of Preseason All-American honors rolling in, Bacot not only wants to help avenge a disappointing 2022-2023 season, but wants to put the final stamp on his UNC basketball career, one that he hopes will end with his No. 5 in the rafters.
