No. 3: The turnover trend continues

Virginia has turned the ball over at least once in each of its last four contests.

The UNC football program’s defense has done a tremendous job of forcing turnovers, as they most recently forced the Miami Hurricanes to turn the ball over four times.

In this game, the UNC football program will find a way to force three turnovers. We’ll even go out on a limb and say two interceptions combined with a fumble recovery.

If North Carolina can jump out to an early lead, all the pressure will be on Virginia’s offense, which has been a bit turnover-prone. Forcing the Cavaliers to have to take shots down the field will only open up opportunities for the secondary to make plays, which could lead to some timely interceptions for the guys in Carolina blue.

Winning the turnover battle has been a huge part of North Carolina’s success, as they’ll look to continue that this week against Virginia.
