Heading into his first season with the UNC basketball program, Harrison Ingram is expected to make a huge impact as one of the conference’s top transfers.

With the start of the college basketball season just a few weeks away, Harrison Ingram is drawing some attention as one of the top transfers in the entire Atlantic Coast Conference.

Jamie Shaw of On3 ranked his top ten impact transfers in the ACC, as Ingram secured the top spot. Here’s why Ingram secured the top spot on Shaw’s list:

"The luxury of Harrison Ingram is you can do a lot of things with him. As a three or a four, his best attribute might be his initiation. This could help alongside a young point guard (Elliot Cadeau) and an adept scoring guard (RJ Davis). Ingram has always been at his best with the ball in his hands and making decisions. Ingram is a smart defender; he understands angles and help side. If he is to play some four, you want to see some switchability from him, which he is capable of. He has a strong frame and good length. Ingram is an intriguing piece with versatility and unselfish play. This is a big year for UNC and head coach Hubert Davis. They built a roster for this season that, on paper, fits. For them to meet expectations and get the Tar Heels back on track, Ingram will need to be good. Not necessarily the star but the piece that connects the stars together."

Over two seasons at Stanford, Ingram averaged 10.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game in 65 appearances. As a full-time starter, Ingram did a little bit of everything for the Cardinals, as Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program hope he can do the same for them.

Ingram possesses a strong basketball IQ, as he plays the three or four position but has the passing ability of a guard. With his court awareness, passing ability, and versatility, Ingram is a guy who could make a major difference in helping the UNC basketball program get back on track during the 2023-2024 season.

Grad transfer Cormac Ryan also made the list, as Shaw listed him as the No. 10-ranked impact transfer among the conference.
