The former UNC football star wide receiver recorded his first NFL touchdown for the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday afternoon.

Josh Downs is on the board!

The former UNC football star wide receiver scored his first NFL touchdown in the Indianapolis Colts’ loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday afternoon.

Downs has been a consistent target for the Colts passing game early on in his rookie season, as he came into Sunday’s action with 23 catches for 255 total yards. Although he was limited to just 21 receiving yards on Sunday, his touchdown served as a bright spot as he found the endzone for the first time in his professional career.

Fans of the UNC football program got used to seeing Downs in the endzone during his time in Chapel Hill, as his 22 touchdown receptions are the second-most in school history. Based on his time at North Carolina, it wouldn’t be surprising at all to see Downs scoring more touchdowns on Sundays throughout his NFL career.

If you’re into fantasy football or even sports betting, you may want to start figuring out a way to get Josh Downs on your weekly lineups, as his production seems to be growing each week.
