This weekend, Mack Brown and the UNC football program will be hosting the top-ranked overall player in the Class of 2025.

Recruiting is not easy, especially when you’re looking to attract the top available players from each respective class.

What does help is when your team is playing in a big game, just as the UNC football program is doing this upcoming weekend.

The Tar Heels will take on Miami in a top-25 battle, a contest that is very important to both sides. As North Carolina hosts the Hurricanes, they’ll also have some potential recruits at Kenan Stadium, including the top-ranked player in the Class of 2025.

In-state offensive tackle David Sanders is scheduled to be in Chapel Hill for a visit. The Charlotte, North Carolina native is ranked by 247Sports as the top player overall in his graduating class.

This could be the perfect weekend to host Sanders, as the atmosphere at Kenan Stadium and in Chapel Hill should be electric throughout. What better way to entice a player to commit to your university than to allow him to see first-hand a very important ACC contest that could propel the UNC football program into the College Football Playoff discussions?

Of course, North Carolina will make Sanders feel right at home, as this weekend is a big one for the UNC football program both on the field as well as on the recruiting trail.
